About
Kate Caruso is a Senior Associate and Design Director at HLW with nearly 15 years of experience in architecture and interior design. Based in the New Jersey studio, she is recognized for her strategic, holistic approach to design and her ability to guide projects from concept through completion with clarity and creativity. As HLW’s Higher Education Practice Leader, Kate has played a key role in growing the firm’s presence across the New Jersey market.
Her portfolio includes projects for Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, and corporate interiors for clients such as Aspen, ECP, Everest, Prudential Insurance, Sumitomo Trust Bank, and Samsung. In addition to her design leadership, Kate fosters a collaborative studio culture and is passionate about mentoring emerging talent. She holds degrees in Interior Design and a Master’s in Architecture, and is an active member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
