Enterprise Software Client
A flexible, brand-driven London workplace shaped by layered connections and adaptive reuse.
HLW transformed a 15,000-square-foot London workplace for a global enterprise software client, reimagining an existing Cat B fit out within a shared corporate building into a distinctly branded, high-performance environment. Guided by the concept of “Layered Connections,” the design translates the client’s open-source culture into a flexible ecosystem of work settings that support collaboration, focus, and hybrid engagement. A secure customer-facing suite and a multifunctional gathering space accommodating 30–60 people enable workshops, presentations, and global virtual meetings, reinforcing the office’s role as a key international hub.
Rather than beginning with demolition, the design prioritised adaptive reuse. Existing furniture, ceiling systems, glazing, and architectural elements were retained and carefully integrated, significantly reducing embodied carbon and construction waste. Where new materials were introduced, locally sourced finishes, custom joinery, and immersive environmental graphics established a strong local identity expressed through warm timber, refined acoustic detailing, and the client’s signature red palette.
Designed in alignment with WELL principles, the workplace emphasises health, flexibility, and inclusivity through biophilic references, improved acoustic comfort, and access to natural light. The result is a future-ready environment that combines sustainability, brand storytelling, and agile workplace strategy within a single cohesive design.
