Modern office interior featuring distinctive wooden, tree-like structures creating semi-private seating areas. A person works on a laptop, seated on a blue pouf, amidst these organic design elements, which harmonize with the industrial-chic open-plan workspace.

Exiting the techno-futuristic “Daydream” space on the third floor of Google’s 111 8th Avenue HQ, “Sprint” offers a calming atmosphere with darker, saturated colors and wood accents that evoke the tranquility of home. Staggered wood slats and wood veneer peg boards with hanging plants enhance the residential feel, while glass marker boards promote interaction. The space includes custom quiet pods for focused work, casual “living rooms” with trellis-like ceilings, and a micro kitchen packed with greenery, designed to provide a respite from the typical office environment.

A gradient from light to dark colors creates visual interest and enhances wayfinding.

Angled wood slats, felt baffles, metal partitions, and curated planters add depth and texture.
